Today, I watched Emilio Estevez’s 2006 film, Bobby. The 60’s were a period that encompassed so much hope, achievement, but also despair of many a nation. This film wonderfully puts to film the hopes that fell when Bobby Kennedy was so sadly assassinated. I would urge everyone who cares about the direction nations of state head, to watch this film. Bob Kennedy was, perhaps, the finest President the United States was never fortunate to have. He wished to unite blacks and whites, rich and poor, and to stop the hurtful segregation that still persists in the United States today. Unfortunately his ambition to stop the wastefulness of life in Vietnam would take many more years.
The current, terrible, mess of Iraq brings it home to us how we must elect representatives who will never allow events like this to occur again.
I’ve enclosed a youtube eulogy from Ted Kennedy at RFK’s funeral. A very moving video.

Horaayy..there are 3 comment(s) for me so far ;)
Without looking through any of my sources, books or TrustedPlaces(tm), but I am sure I disagree with that. All of the Kennedys were sleazy, socialistic, big goevernment, controlling types.
Maybe Robert was different, but I have my doubts.
Every family has a lil sleaze in \’em, but I think the ideas he push out weighed any less than moral things
I still disagree. As he was still a Big Government type. None of the adjectives I used were meant to be applied to his morals. He could shag his way through every cheerleading team in the land and it wouldn’t have bothered me. His disasterous policies and bankrupt ideologies are the sticking point for me.
